About Us
Art Studio for Children was born out of a need to find a wonderful place for our artistic girls to explore creatively, and an earnest suggestion from our then four year old: “mommy, you could teach art here”. She gave me both the clarity and the confidence to do this.
Now, 8 years into it, the business has grown dramatically from what I call “word of mom”. I teach over 100 students a week from ages 3-13 out of my home and through the Toronto District School Board enrichment program.
Side businesses have developed naturally; I run week-long sleepover camps at my cottage, Art Birthday Parties and Workshops for Moms who were jealous that the children got all that creative time.
It is so important, I believe, that we all have the opportunity to express ourselves artistically in a quiet and contemplative atmosphere as the world continues to celebrate and promote multi-tasking and hyper-stimulation. This is an opportunity to see ourselves and the world around us in a different way.
I love what I do and am grateful everyday for the opportunity I have to share that passion.
